libgpds-dev software package provides library for configuration of pointing devices (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgpds-dev
libgpds-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgpds-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgpds-dev *
You will get with libgpds-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
